Refine + Conquer knows there is no “i” in team.
Writing Website Content Requires Teamwork: a Little Give, a Little Take from Each of Us.
In our website content project we will both need to do some “heavy lifting”.
When beginning the first phase of our project, I’ll need to warn you that the process may feel a touch difficult. We need to do some strength training and to increase the intensity of your digital presence.
Together we will ponder the best methods to connect with those in need of your services. Though you’ll move through a mental workout, the payoff will be worth it, I promise. The resulting warm and informative digital content will provide confidence, validate your hard work, and help build revenue.
Typically, it goes a little something like this…
As a new client, you may state, “I don’t know anything about writing or websites, so I trust you to do this for me.”
“Yes,” I’ll explain, “but I will need something from you as well. My job is to represent your work in an authentic manner. Your website visitors need to get a “feel” for who you are and how you can help them.”
In the end, my fictionalizing or “guesstimating” your business personality will not help you achieve your goals. Attracting well-aligned customers requires building an honest digital representation of your work and business character.
HOw I support you in Writing your content
The process includes evaluating your current website content, your past work and success, researching your competition and audience(s).
To do so, I must learn about your experience and research your service area. I will ask many questions as part of my content puzzle workbook.
These include:
What makes you stand out and shine?
What do you offer your clients?
Why are you in your line of work?
How do you deliver?
What are your wins so far?
You’ll need to do some soul searching, evaluate your work, consider your direction, and get it all down in writing.
This is your “heavy lifting.” Some of it is fun, some intense, but all of it is necessary to solve the puzzle and establish your business or organization’s heart and soul. This pre-work is the predecessor to my writing process.
In my line of work, we use these answers to build your brand.
Your brand is not simply your logo or look, though these are a part of it. It also includes a guide for your professional journey and how you want the world to experience your presence. We will consider what moves you to serve, why you started this whole endeavor, and how you’d like to grow.
While you do your part, my “heavy lifting” will include researching your competition, reviewing your current digital content, and compiling your answers together into a brand audit to guide my writing.
Finally, I’ll create your website content and deliver it to you for review.
The process may feel demanding at times but our teamwork will carry us towards a big win.
I may be the writer, but your efforts are my inspiration. I’m excited to learn more about your work and develop digital content that establishes your appeal to potential clients.
